Our Antique Apples are "in transition" to organic certification to be marketed as "USDA certified organic" for the 2011 crop. The same is true for our blueberries and a limited amount of our pears.
The Journey to Organic:
Our apple farm is charging as owls and kestrels seek to control gophers. Fertilizer is obtained through managing a turf culture with clovers, and bats and natural pheromones control our most feared pest: the Apple codling moth (worm's parents). We are committed to completing this journey and know that our customers will reward our stewardship.
